FAQ - Your questions? We got answers!
What is cPanel ?
cPanel is server-management software that provides an interface to create, edit, backup and even move your website in your browser. It also enables you to create FTP users and email accounts, optimize your website for search engines, install software and track your Web hosting resource usage.
What if I used other Sever Management Software in the Past ?
The basics of Web hosting remain the same regardless of what programs your hosts used in the past. While you might have to get used to the location of subdomains as directories or working in the “public_html” folder rather than the “WWW” folder, cPanel provides the same functions — and many more — that you’re already used to.
cPanel Versus the Competition
While other control panel options exist, most web hosts use cPanel, which can make moving between hosts easier than you ever imagined. cPanel uses a friendly graphical user interface that is comfortable even for new website owners, and old pros will find everything they need to do is possible with cPanel. Customization options also set cPanel apart from the competition.
Why can’t I access my website and cPanel
Sometimes you find the website hosted with us inaccessible, and there is no update on our Status page considering the server issues. More than that, you are not able to access cPanel and webmail. The links http://serverIP/cpanel and http://cpanel.domain.com.
Failed cPanel login
When you were not able to login to cPanel from the first time, please do not try to do it as many times as possible. Once you have used the incorrect login details 20 times in 300 seconds, the IP gets blocked. To avoid that, please check your login details in a Welcome Email Guide that was sent to the email account, associated with the hosting package. Otherwise, feel free to ask for the cPanel password reset via our Support .
Failed FTP/SSH login
Please make sure your FTP client is using correct login details and appropriate settings. You may check them here . Please make sure to use port 21 for FTP and 21098 for SFTP (SSH). Note that we enable SSH by users request. Therefore please contact us via Support requesting to enable SSH. The tips on how to connect via SSH can be found here.
